The Department of Urology at Sheba Medical Center is dedicated to diagnosing and treating problems involving the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive organs. Utilizing the latest surgeries and and clinical techniques, we offer treatment for a wide range of urinary disorders, including blockages, infections, bleeding, tumors, stones, urinary leakage, birth defects, and sexual dysfunction.
Our patients come to us either for elective surgeries or as urgent referrals from the emergency room.
In Sheba Medical Center’s Department of Urological Surgery, we perform the majority of our surgeries using telesurgical devices such as the Da Vinci robotic system. With not one but two control positions, our surgeons gain double the control during procedures. This enables our surgical team to intervene seamlessly and perform real-time corrections if needed. Our robotic systems also afford unparalleled learning opportunities for interns and young doctors, who are able to sit alongside our senior surgeons and observe the intricacies of surgical procedures in real time.
