Welcome to the Division of Diagnostic Imaging at the Sheba Medical Center.

The Division of Diagnostic Imaging at the Sheba Medical Center is the largest in Israel and is affiliated with the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
The Department of Diagnostic Imaging is divided into several clinical units and sections as well as a research unit as follows:
The Department of Diagnostic Imaging consists of more than 35 certified radiologists, several of the staff members have an academic appointment at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.
We perform more than 420,000 imaging procedures every year, using the latest state-of-the-art equipment:

4 MRI scanners: Two 1.5T, HDx scanners, of which one is dedicated to breast imaging, 3T HDx, and a new W450 70cm Optima 1.5T scanner, General Electric. An additional 1.5 T MRI scanner dedicated to MR guided focused ultrasound treatment (Alfa site InSightec Co.)

5 Multislice CT scanners: ICT 256 slices, Philips , three 64 slice (GE+ Philips) - one of which is located in the ER, and one mobile CT (CereTom, NeuroLogica).

3 Angio suites (1 x Bi-Directional, for neuro-interventional procedures)

6 Digital Fluoroscopy Suites

10 Ultrasound scanners

3 DR Systems, and several additional CR X-ray Systems
In 1997 the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Sheba Medical System installed a PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and became the first "film-less" hospital in Israel. Our current PACS is a SPECTRA system.
