Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a developmental neurological disorder characterized by attention difficulties and/or a tendency to hyperactivity-impulsivity. The symptoms, which usually appear from kindergarten or elementary school, continue in most cases into adulthood and impair functioning in various areas of life - studies, employment, interpersonal relationships.

Research and treatment attention to ADHD in adults has only begun in the last 20-30 years, while children have been receiving treatment for more than 50 years. Due to the relatively low awareness of the existence of the disorder among adults, it is often undiagnosed and untreated. But in fact, it is one of the most common disorders in the adult population, with a rate of about 4%.

The services provided at the clinic: clinical diagnoses; neuropsychological diagnoses; medication treatment and monitoring; individual psychological therapy; cognitive therapy focused on strategies; Couple and family therapy.

How do you contact the Focus clinic?

Fill out an evaluation form, and send it to us by fax or email. If necessary - for example in cases of very incomplete information - we will invite you to a meeting with a treatment coordinator or a psychologist at the clinic to collect additional information with an emphasis on the reasons that led to the current application.

If we think we can help, the applicant is scheduled for a clinical interview with a psychiatrist that usually lasts two sessions. At the end of the interview, feedback will be given on the most suitable options for the applicant.

It is recommended to attach to the evaluation forms any additional relevant information, such as the results of previous diagnoses, a recent report on the medical condition from the family doctor and psychological summaries.
