The clinic staff provides innovative and advanced solutions for those suffering from mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder) and anxiety disorders.
Depression is the most common psychiatric disorder, the fourth leading cause of human suffering and disability. 15-25% of the population suffer from depression, with the assumption being that there are many more who are not diagnosed or who receive a diagnosis for a physical illness that is actually a manifestation of depression.
Anxiety disorders are common among about 10% of the population, and many times they appear together with mood disorders. Among the disorders treated at the clinic: panic disorder, which manifests itself in sudden attacks of fear, palpitations and sweating; Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), which manifests itself in disturbing repetitive thoughts accompanied by rituals that take up a large part of the day; Social anxiety, which manifests itself in feelings of unpleasantness in society and may reach a state of avoiding being around other people.
What is the advantage of a clinic located in the hospital?
The therapists at the hospital have extensive experience with new drugs and preparations, as well as special drug combinations. The treatment options at the hospital are diverse from those in the community and are under one roof: a behavioral therapy unit, therapeutic groups, a day hospitalization unit, hospitalization wards and an electroconvulsive treatment institute.
Each new patient is taken in by the multi-professional team of the clinic, which includes a senior doctor, a specialist in psychiatry, a psychologist and a social worker. And this is so that it will be possible to provide a thorough and comprehensive answer to problems in a variety of fields.
Therapeutic groups in the clinic
A group for patients with bipolar disorder, delivered by a psychologist and a psychiatrist.
A group for the elderly, from the age of 65, conducted by psychologists.
A group for those released from hospitalization/rehabilitating (day hospitalization or full hospitalization), conducted by psychologists.
A group for young people after a crisis, aged 18-35, conducted by psychologists.
