The Institute of Nephrology and Hypertension at Sheba is one of the largest institutions in Israel, equipped with advanced dialysis machines and facilities that enable monitoring the quality of treatment during dialysis.
The Nephrology Institute specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic kidney diseases, electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and kidney stone diseases. The team offers various treatments for patients with end-stage renal diseases, including kidney transplantation, in-center hemodialysis, and home peritoneal dialysis. The team consists of skilled and dedicated professionals, including nephrologists, certified dialysis nurses, medical technicians, social worker, dietitians, and administrative staff.
The is located in a new building, carefully designed for optimal functionality and maximum preservation of patients' privacy and comfort. To achieve this, there is a separation between the outpatient department and the inpatient department, as well as a division between patients undergoing chronic dialysis and those requiring acute dialysis.

The team holds weekly meetings to discuss the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex problems. They oversee the treatment of patients with chronic dialysis, review current literature, and develop up-to-date protocols for various diseases. Additionally, they hold interdisciplinary meetings with other departments in the hospital and meetings with neurologists from different hospitals in the central region, where complex and exceptional cases are presented.
The institute is affiliated with the School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University, and the doctors play an active role in teaching students and conducting medical education for physicians from Israel and abroad.
