At the Keshet Clinic, we specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of adults on the autistic continuum, a spectrum of psychological and behavioral conditions characterized by deviations from the norm in the areas of social functioning, communication and language, interests and behaviors. These disorders can manifest in varying degrees of severity and have diverse functional effects that differ from person to person, and even within the same individual in different contexts.
After finishing formal education, adults on the autistic spectrum often face a lack of guidance or a structured path forward. Their needs and challenges differ from those of children and teenagers. People with autism often face challenges in various areas, including employment, housing, education, social skills, leisure activities, and more. Some may also experience additional symptoms like changes in mood, anxiety, difficulties with attention, and behavioral issues.
At Keshet Clinic, our team of professionals is here to support adults on the autistic spectrum who are facing various challenges. Our experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, communication therapists, behavior analysts, and mini-social education counselors offer diagnostic services, treatment, training, and ongoing monitoring.
Moreover, our team provides reports that can be used to secure approvals from different stakeholders as required:
- Comprehensive diagnosis for the Ministry of Welfare and National Insurance, which grants rights in the areas of housing, employment and leisure, disability allowance and other necessary allowances.
- A medical certificate for guardianship, detailing the applicant's condition and the doctor's recommendation on the necessity of guardianship.
- A report assessing the situation for integration into housing and employment frameworks. Sometimes, frameworks may require a functional assessment report, particularly if the person hasn't recently taken part in an educational or rehabilitation framework.
Some of our services can be conveniently accessed through video conference calls, without the need for in-person visits to the clinic.
