Laboratory for liver research
Operating times:
The reception office is open Sunday to Thursday 7:00-15:00
The research laboratory at the Liver Disease Center was established with the goal of fostering innovative and cutting-edge research on liver diseases. The laboratory facilitates both basic and applied research that shed light on the processes and mechanisms underlying the progression of liver diseases. The discoveries resulting from our research will ultimately play a crucial role in advancing the development of innovative methodologies and future treatments in this field.
In the research laboratory, doctors and scientists from around the world collaborate, combining research in various methods of molecular biology. The laboratory's research is based on diverse research models, such as cell models, tissue models, and laboratory animals, with the aim of advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases.
In our research laboratory, doctors and scientists from all over the world work together, combining research in various methods of molecular biology. The laboratory's research is focused on diverse research models, including cell models, tissue models, and laboratory animals. Our aim is to enhance our knowledge, diagnosis, and treatment of different diseases.
Our current research is focused on: virus resistance, especially resistance of hepatitis C virus to drug treatment, the study of the molecular processes associated with the development of fatty liver, understanding the molecular pathways that lead to the development of primary cancer and liver cirrhosis.
Our laboratory's research findings are showcased at prestigious conferences both in Israel and internationally and are published in renowned medical journals.
