Our clinic was established in 2004 to provide optimal and integrative medical care for Marfan Syndrome patients, both children and adults alike.

Our clinic offers a variety of services:
●      Genetic diagnosis
●      Genetic counseling for individuals and couples
●      Cardiological monitoring
●      Cardiosurgical treatments/solutions
●      Eye specialist visits, as needed
●      Specialist visits in the field of orthopedics, as needed

Most of our applicants have a well-known and familiar family history of Marfan Syndrome, and approximately a quarter are first generation cases. More than half of the patients visiting the clinic present with diverse cardiac issues, such as aortic enlargement or mitral valve prolapse. As part of the cardiological follow-up, regular echocardiograms or cardiac CT scans are conducted, alongside periodic consultations with Dr. Shinfeld.

At the clinic, we also offer guidance for children and teenagers, who have questions about physical activity. These questions become more important when preparing for army recruitment, including the question of the actual recruitment, and we are here to facilitate communication with the army in each case.

In recent years, we have also offered assistance to pregnant women with Marfan Syndrome and couples where one partner is affected by the syndrome in their family planning. These couples have received genetic counseling and thorough monitoring to ensure the birth of healthy babies without the Marfan gene.
