Our clinic specializes in the diagnosis, assessment, detection, preventive intervention, treatment and rehabilitation of victims of emotional and psychological trauma.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a condition that arises after experiencing a traumatic event. The scope of what constitutes a traumatic event is not rigid. Some will develop the disorder after a minor car accident, while others will develop it after an attack, a plane crash, or other serious event. One particular variant of this disorder relates to the distressing events to which soldiers are exposed in war, and is referred to as the "battle response."
For years, our team has been providing care to individuals who were injured or became ill during their service in the security forces (the IDF, the police, the prison service, etc.), and who have been officially recognized by the state as disabled.
The clinic team follows a systemic and integrative approach, and includes psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, art and drama therapists, couple and group therapists.
Our treatments encompass individual and group interventions in a dynamic, cognitive-behavioral approach, medication and trauma-focused therapy. The unit maintains professional contact with neurologists, sleep disorder experts, sexual rehabilitation experts, and other specialists as required.
The Ministry of Defense initiates referral to the clinic. During the diagnostic phase, the patient's mental and emotional state, supportive factors, coping mechanisms, and applicant's needs are evaluated to develop a comprehensive multi-system plan.
