The center, a first-of-its-kind initiative in Israel, was created in Sheba to support individuals seeking pregnancy termination. We aim to make this challenging experience a bit easier for you. Our team is here to offer you support and care, both medically and emotionally, every step of the way.

Our center specialises in supporting individuals through the loss and termination of pregnancy in the first and second trimester. Looking ahead, we aim to expand our network to include service and support providers through all stages of pregnancy. We are here to offer comprehensive support throughout the entire process, ensuring you feel supported and cared for, both medically and emotionally, as you navigate this complex event.

Starting a family can be a journey filled with ups and downs, even heartbreak. Sadly, about 20% of pregnancies don't continue to develop, and nearly 40% of women may experience a miscarriage at some point in their life. There are various reasons for this, including the natural termination of pregnancy development, health issues with the fetus, or a personal choice. Regardless of the reason, it's undeniably a tough and emotionally challenging experience.

Visiting the hospital to end a pregnancy can be challenging and exhausting, often involving a trip through the emergency room. Since these cases might not always be classified as "urgent," patients may find themselves waiting for hours on end. Securing appointments and navigating through the system's lack of coordination can also add to the challenge. The medical response and psychological support provided aren’t always as empathetic as needed. That’s why we've chosen a different approach - offering a private and quiet space, a team that’s attentive and inclusive, and quick, efficient treatment.

The complex is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the emergency room, maternity, and newborn areas, providing you with a private and serene setting. Our centre boasts a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, psychosocial staff, and a service coordinator, all carefully chosen to make sure you're comfortable and well looked after.

At our first meeting, you'll get to know our psychosocial team, and we'll listen to understand the best way to support you and your loved ones. Whether you're seeking immediate guidance during a crisis or considering further treatment, the choice is yours. You can opt for individual therapy, short-term therapy with three sessions on your own or with a partner or join one of our support groups.

Based on your personal medical history, we can arrange further investigations at the genetic institute, recurrent miscarriage clinic, at-risk pregnancy clinics, or other specialist clinics. Together, we'll find the best path forward for you to start your family.

The "Your Way" center offers services included in the health basket, so please bring along a commitment form (Form 17) with a referral for Gynaecology Screening.

All you need to do is submit a request (Form 17) for Sheba. Starting from 1st September 2023, health funds from all over Israel will have the right to carry out terminations of pregnancy in Sheba.
