The occupational therapy unit at the “Steps” Institute specialises in treating patients with neurological conditions like Parkinson's, movement disorders such as ataxia and chorea/scoliosis, and those with complex upper limb injuries. Our treatment approaches are diverse, incorporating cutting-edge technologies like Sinfonia for finger and palm rehabilitation and PABLO for upper limb function restoration.

The unit operates with a collaborative team of Steps Institute and occupational therapy clinics specializing in neurological rehabilitation. During the initial session, patients go through an introduction process that includes interviews, tests, and diagnoses. Following this, in consultation with the patient, we establish the treatment scope and goals based on the findings. The focus is on motor, sensory-motor, and cognitive areas to help the patient achieve greater independence.

You can receive a referral to the unit from any of the insurance institutions in Israel: the health funds, the Ministry of Defence, National Insurance (Bituach Leumi), and the insurance companies. Additionally, you have the option to pay privately for certain treatments.
