The Ocular Oncology Center is a national and world wide referral center for the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ocular tumors and other closely related conditions.
Goals:
To conserve the health and well-being of adult and pediatric patients with ocular tumors, to save life and sight.
Services:
There are a variety of tumors that are managed in our institute which include tumors of the orbit, eyelids, ocular surface (like lymphoma, squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma and other involving the conjunctiva and the cornea), and intraocular tumors like melanoma, retinoblastoma , metastasis, hemangioma, retinoblastoma, astrocytoma, lymphoma and other.
Ocular tumors are rare diseases some of which can become life-threatening conditions. Consequently their diagnosis and management often require challenging and complex procedures.
Our treatment modalities includes cutting-edge surgical procedures, variety of chemotherapy delivery methods (intravenous, intra-arterial and intra-vitreal ), local radiation with brachytherapy, focal radiation with radiosurgery and external beam radiotherapy .
