The Ophthalmology Department works closely with the clinics and operating rooms of the Eye Institute. Every year, our department admits thousands of patients with complex eye diseases, as well as those before and after surgeries, both emergency and elective, as well as accident victims. We serves as the central hub for for patient admission, pre-surgical preparation, post-operative care, and ongoing treatment. Whether for full hospitalization or day hospitalization, we are here to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
The department is staffed round the clock by ophthalmologists and functions as an emergency room for urgent issues during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The nurses' station in the eye department is also utilized for triage during night shifts and holidays.
