The clinic monitors premature babies born at Sheba Hospital before 30 weeks of pregnancy. Immediately upon leaving the preterm, the parents receive a summons letter for the first appointment at the clinic within a few weeks, after which they are invited to further follow-up appointments at the ages of 6, 12 and 24 months.
The clinic staff provides families with emotional, developmental and medical support. The team includes a physical therapist and an occupational therapist (prematurity team) present as needed.
