The Radiotherapy Institute is the largest and leading center in the country for advanced treatments such as Brain and Spinal Cord Radiosurgery, Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), enabling triple-modality treatment, brachytherapy, and intraoperative radiation therapy.

Radiotherapy is a cancer treatment that utilizes powerful radiation energy, similar to X-rays. At Sheba Medical Center, we have invested in state-of-the-art and highly sophisticated equipment for radiation planning and delivery. Our radiation accelerators are the most advanced in the world: TRUEBEAM by Varian and NOVALIS, a collaboration between BRAINLAB, the German company, and Varian.

Our team includes top-notch specialized physicians who have trained at leading centers in the United States, as well as nurses, dietitians, radiology technicians, physicists, research assistants, social workers, and psychologists. Together, we make every effort to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the disease and the patient's needs.

Our goal is to provide "private-level" healthcare to every patient, believing that everyone deserves to receive kind, personal, professional, and dedicated care, along with the most precise and advanced treatment in the field of radiotherapy.

The Institute offers an envelope of excellence and support that can only be found in a university hospital within the public healthcare system:

  • Groundbreaking research and innovative therapies
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration among leading experts in each field, coming together to consider each patient without external considerations
  • Accessibility to professional physicians and an experienced nursing team during all the unit’s working hours
  • Social worker, psychologist, nutritionist, and holistic complementary therapy.
