Adjacent to the operating rooms you’ll find the recovery rooms. These serve the important purpose of providing treatment, monitoring, and close supervision to patients after anesthesia and surgery. In the Gynecology and Maternity Department, the recovery rooms monitor patients who have undergone elective or urgent cesarean sections, gynecological surgeries, gynecologic-oncological surgeries, and complex cases requiring close monitoring. Patients can only be discharged from the recovery room to the department once they are stable and safe. On average, the recovery time ranges from 1-2 hours.
Visiting policy in the recovery room:
- After a C-section, only those with the baby identification bracelet are allowed to enter the recovery room.
- Only one visitor is allowed to enter the recovery room.
