The Weizmann Educational Center at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital is a school that caters to children aged 3-18 who are hospitalized in the wards or receiving treatment in a day hospital under the Sick Children's Law. Those who require special education while hospitalized are eligible to receive educational services until the age of 21.
The center's staff is made up of over 90 educators, including a director, deputy, counselors, and an ICT coordinator. Our educational team consists of medical teachers who prepare the children for medical procedures, teachers for special education and remedial teaching, and those who ensure a smooth transition for winter and summer matriculation exams.
The educational center has a dedicated team of over 15 art therapists.
The educators and therapists maintain constant contact with the medical staff, and provide tailored educational, emotional, and social support for each child.
The vision of the educational center: We believe that personal pedagogy plays a vital role in promoting recovery and wellbeing.
