Sexual function plays a central role in an individual’s overall health and wellbeing, contributing to quality of life. The field of sexuality is gaining recognition for its role in promoting healing and rehabilitation in patients' physical and mental health.
Our clinic provides treatment for individuals with various sexual dysfunctions, including those within the context of a relationship. The treatment is tailored to the personal needs of each patient and is coordinated after a first meeting with the clinic's doctor. Treatment is provided by one of the clinic’s therapists or a combination of multiple professionals.
The clinic specializes in providing comprehensive sexual rehabilitation services for individuals with disabilities of varying degrees, including head injuries, spinal cord injuries, post-traumatic conditions, orthopedic rehabilitation following multi-trauma and amputations, heart diseases, diabetes, psychiatric disorders, and more.
The treatment considers the specific needs of each patient and their partner.
The diagnosis at the clinic involves a comprehensive evaluation of the patient and their partner, encompassing an assessment of their sexual, relationship, and medical history. This includes medical diagnoses, physical limitations, medications, and other relevant factors. Depending on the specific requirements, you may be recommended for investigations, which can involve blood tests and/or procedures such as nocturnal erection (NPT) or ultrasound of the genital organ. The NPT test is a non-invasive assessment that evaluates the frequency and quality of nocturnal erections, while the ultrasound test examines the blood flow in the penis.
Treatments offered at the clinic:
- Individual or/couples-based sexual diagnosis and treatment.
- Genital injection treatment
- Instruction for using a vacuum pump
- Instruction for using a PVC device
- Sexual education training
- Treatments to deal with performance anxiety using the biofeedback method.
- Guidance for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The clinic works in collaboration with the urological institute and the male fertility clinic, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense's combat trauma clinic under the direction of Dr. Polak Miki of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Institute.
Treatment at the clinic requires a financial commitment from the health fund (Form 17) or payment.
