In the Neurogenetics Unit, we diagnose genetic neurological conditions in children (aged four and above), adolescents, and adults.
The key areas we focus on include:
- Neuromuscular diseases (myopathies, neuropathies).
- Family cases of cognitive impairments, developmental delay, or autism spectrum disorder.
- Epilepsy.
- Movement disorders (including ataxia, dystonia, and Parkinson’s symptoms).
- Leukoencephalopathies.
- Pediatric stroke.
- Dementia and cognitive decline at a young age.
- Additional monogenic conditions such as neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, and more.
