At the clinical immunology, angioedema, and allergy unit, both children and adults receive treatment for a range of illnesses resulting from immune system dysfunctions. Dysregulation of the immune system can result in overactivity, abnormal activity or hypoactivity/immune deficiency.
An overactive immune system can give rise to autoimmune and allergic diseases, while abnormal immune system activity can lead to immunological disorders. On the other hand, an underactive immune system can result in immunodeficiency conditions, characterized by a heightened susceptibility to infections, autoimmune diseases, and allergies.
We specialize in treating immune system malfunctions across all age groups, including unique situations like pregnancy and combined morbidity cases such as malignancy and lung disease, eyes, AAG, and coagulation disorders.
As part of the unit, the Food Allergy Center at the Children's Clinics is also operated. The center is at the forefront of the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults. It boasts a multidisciplinary team, innovative technologies and research projects that enable customized solutions, and has already helped treat thousands of patients.
