Our department offers both individual and group treatments for individuals facing life-threatening eating disorders. This includes physical, mental, behavioural, and psychotherapeutic support. Patients also receive a personalised menu, weight goals, and around four therapeutic meals a day, all under staff supervision.
Patients typically stay in the hospital for two to three months, supported by a dedicated team consisting of a doctor, psychologist, case manager, dietician, and social worker. This team is well-trained to handle urgent interventions, including vital sign monitoring, fluid infusions, and tube feeding.
Patients who are well into their recovery and live close to Sheba are released from the ward to continue their treatment in a day care setting or clinic.
