The Hair Clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating hair disorders that can lead to hair loss, while also addressing the emotional and social challenges accompanying it. Hair loss can be caused by various conditions, such as autoimmune diseases like alopecia areata, lupus, lichen planopilaris, and more. It can also be influenced by genetic predisposition, medication use, hormonal changes, infections, and other factors. Each of these conditions requires a personalized treatment approach.

At our clinic, we conduct a thorough diagnosis, which includes detailed questioning and examination of your hair. In some cases, a biopsy (scalp skin sampling) may be necessary. We also use trichoscopy, a microscopic examination of the scalp and hair, to aid in the diagnosis.

Hair diseases treated at the clinic include:

  • Alopecia areata
  • Various types of cicatricial alopecia (including pseudopelade of Brocq, folliculitis decalvans, lichen planopilaris, frontal fibrosing alopecia)
  • Psoriasis
  • Genetic hair thinning in both men and women
  • Hair loss as a side effect of medication, including chemotherapy drugs
