The Intensive Cardiac Care unit plays a vital role in providing medical and nursing response to patients with acute and/or complex cardiac conditions. With continuous monitoring and supervision, our dedicated team works diligently to identify, prevent, and treat any potential emergency situations. Our unit's staff includes the unit's director, a senior cardiologist, trainee doctors from other departments, including trainees from abroad, a charge nurse, qualified and skilled nursing staff who have undergone specialized training in intensive care, a dietician, a social worker, psychologists, and research coordinators. The patients are under continuous medical supervision and monitoring around the clock. A doctor is present in the unit 24/7 to address urgent medical issues.
The Intensive Cardiac Care unit is a modern and state-of-the-art facility, with 12 spacious inpatient rooms equipped with cutting-edge equipment. This enables us to provide advanced and efficient care to our patients. Our unit features large plasma screens and a modern monitor system, ensuring round-the-clock monitoring and seamless transmission of vital information to our dedicated nursing team. This enables us to respond quickly and efficiently to any problem that may arise. The state-of-the-art technological equipment in the rooms supports vital systems, and helps to meet the medical needs in the acute phase of the disease.
Every hospitalization room is private, complete with a toilet, shower, and an audio system equipped with headphones. You have the option to order a TV.

Transfer from the unit to further hospitalization
After showing improvement, many patients in the unit are transferred to the cardiology department or other internal medicine departments for further treatment. The decision to move is made by the unit's doctor. Following hospitalization, in most cases, we offer a week of recovery in the unit for early cardiac rehabilitation at the Shilev Rehabilitation Hotel.
