The Department of Internal Medicine D, affiliated with Tel Aviv University, specializes in general internal medicine, covering various types of internal and infectious diseases. It also specializes in hypertension, where it actively conducts both basic and clinical research. Approximately 3,000 hospitalizations are managed by the department every year.
The department is affiliated with the Hypertension Institute, which offers services to patients with secondary or treatment-resistant hypertension, as well as individuals at risk of cardiovascular diseases.
The department consists of skilled medical professionals, including doctors, as well as nurses who have graduated from courses focused on intensive care, communication, risk management, diabetes, pressure ulcers, and more. Additionally, the department has auxiliary staff, a social worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, medical secretary, national service member, and dedicated volunteers.
