The Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging Unit at the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital is among the largest in the country for pediatric imaging. Within the unit, a wide range of imaging tests are performed on children, including X-rays, ultrasounds, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These procedures are conducted under the close supervision of radiologists who specialize in pediatric imaging. In the field of MRI, both fetal MRI and body MRI are carried out, making it the most comprehensive facility in Israel.
Here is some important information for you:
- You're welcome to stay with your child during any examination, except for tests under anesthesia.
- If you are pregnant, please note that you won't be able to stay in the room during X-rays, ultrasound, or CT scans.
- Examinations performed under sedation require a parent or guardian to be present.
- Don't forget to bring a pacifier and a feeding bottle for your little ones during infant examinations.
- And for the older kids, it's always a good idea to bring a toy, a beloved item, a game, or a book that they love.
