The Retina Unit specializes in the providing consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for various retinal, choroidal, and vitreous conditions. Examples include age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, macular edema, and dystrophies or congenital malformations of the back part of the eye.
We offer various treatments like intraocular injections, laser procedures for the retina, and photodynamic therapies for specific retinal conditions. What's more, our retinal surgeries are performed using the latest 3D system. Our skilled team can assist with common surgeries such as retinal detachment repair, vitreous hemorrhage, central vision problems like membranes and holes, as well as degenerative and inflammatory retinal diseases. We also provide solutions for retinal vascular occlusions, epiretinal membranes, and eye contusions.
The unit also provides special services, like telemedicine (video call with the attending doctor) and a clinic for retinal diseases in children. Plus, we offer patients the opportunity to take part in studies that test out new and exciting medications.
