The Center for Hereditary Retinal Diseases and Electrophysiology of the Nerve and Retina is a renowned institution in Israel dedicated to advancing the diagnosis, treatment, research, and innovation in the field of retinal degeneration and optic nerve disorders. These conditions, whether acquired or hereditary, are among the leading causes of vision impairment and blindness worldwide, impacting millions of individuals every year.

Every year, the center welcomes hundreds of patients from across Israel and the world. Our dedicated and compassionate medical staff is committed to providing personalized diagnosis and treatment to improve patients’ vision.  We use innovative and advanced tests, including electrophysiology, diagnostic imaging (e.g., fundus photography), genetic testing, and visual field tests, for the purposes of providing comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring.

The center is also home to the retina research laboratory, one of Israel's largest and most prominent research units in the field of ophthalmology. Here, we conduct pioneering and groundbreaking research, focusing on the development of personalized treatments for retinal atrophy and dry eye patients, objective imaging methods of the visual field, eye imaging including OCT and advanced surgical methods for drug delivery.
