At the Vascular Institute, we perform non-invasive tests using Doppler and duplex ultrasound equipment. The primary tests conducted include:
- Leg arterial doppler (with stress test) to diagnose arterial blockages in the arms and legs.
- Duplex scanning to diagnose deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and check for venous insufficiency in the limbs.
- Duplex scanning to diagnose diseases in the carotid and vertebral arteries.
- Duplex scanning for diagnosing blockages in the arteries of the intestines and kidneys.
- Duplex scanning to image aneurysms in the abdominal aorta and peripheral arteries.
- Duplex scanning to monitor aortic aneurysms that have been treated before.
