Our service specializes in coordinating the multidisciplinary treatment of children diagnosed with a brain tumor. On average, we admit about 40 children every year. The service is delivered by a teams consisting of a pediatric oncologist, a neuro-oncologist, a coordinating nurse, a genetic counselor and a social worker.
Our multi-professional team works in full and close cooperation with the various teams involved in the treatment of children with brain tumors. These include: Pediatric Neurosurgery, the Radiation Oncology Institute, Neuro-radiologists, Neuro-ophthalmologists, Endocrinologists, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Sports Clinic, Hearing Institute, and Genetic Counseling Service.
Our medical team collaborates nationally and internationally with leading centers in the USA, Canada, and Europe, and engages in innovative laboratory and clinical research to advance the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors in children.
